Herdmembers and Trojan Fans,
USC HOCKEY - MARIO DANELO NIGHT
The USC Ice Hockey team needs our support this Saturday night. Please come on down to Anaheim Ice, on the corner of Harbor and Lincoln, to join the Thundering Herd to root on the icemen of USC vs the Washington Huskies. The game starts at 7:30, but TheDoctor will be supplying pizzas prior to the game so get there around 6 or 6:30 to tailgate. The games usually go to about 10pm.
USC Ice hockey has named the game Mario Danelo Night, and they will be having a collection box at the front desk of Anaheim Ice. All donations will be going to the Mario Danelo Scholarship fund for walk-on athletes. Also, for every regular Herdmember who attends on Saturday, mpron will be adding $5 to the fund up to $200. (mpron was inspired by Cardinal Blood's selfless act of keeping the Danelo memorial candles burning up at Point Fermin). So please come on down to Anaheim on Saturday, have some pizza, watch some great hockey and help out a fantastic cause for a little guy with a great big heart, Mario Danelo!

HERD BLOG
The Herd has a new website for information on all upcoming Herd events. We have moved from www.uscherd.com to http://theuscherd.blogspot.com. The Herd blog is going to be a daily informational website about USC athletics and how the Herd is involved in supporting all aspects of USC sports. It is a celebration of the USC fan, and we will not only be looking at the history of the Herd; i.e. highlighting past articles written about the Herd by TJ Simers and the Daily Trojan, but also having weekly Herders of the Week profiles of Trojan fans who have been supporting USC Athletics throughout their lives as well as original articles written by Herders about USC Football and other aspects of being a USC fan. Finally, all information about tailgates and upcoming Herd events will be highlighted on the site.
So please stop by and add your comments on the site or email suggestions to USCHerd@aol.com If you have pictures you would like added to the site or would like to write an article yourself, please email us your ideas. We want to make this site as interactive as possible.
